Welcome to nonick
nonick is an International Conference on Internet Trends that is held every year in Bilbao, Spain. It includes panel discussions, barcamp-style workshops, a startup competition and a night party. The 3rd edition of nonick will take place on 17 and 18 June 2011 in the EiTB headquarters in Bilbao.
nonick stands for no nick. This is because, at this event, Internet users are expected to act, for once, without their nicks. As international event, nonick’s main language is English, the common world language. Panel discussions, competitions and the party will be held in English. For open workshops any language can be used, at the choice of the workshop organizer.
Startup 2.0
Startup 2.0 2011 is a European contest for Mobile Applications. Founded in 2007, this non-profit event is a competition for startups that use 2.0 technologies whose objectives are to promote and reward the European startups (either created or willing to do so in the future) that work in the field. An international jury and Internet users will vote for the best 5 social networks. During nonick, these 5 selected startups will present their projects for 5 minutes (each) and people will vote to select the winner.
